Is there any way to make a bed level when it sits on a sloping floor?
Recently moved into a NYC apartment with a very sloped floor. it's quite small and the current location of my bed is the only feasible part of the apartment in which I can place my bed. I like the apartment and I'm delighted with the price and location, but I cannot stand sleeping on an not-level bed. I wake up all the time, the sheet keeping getting pulled in one direction; it is very uncomfortable and I am tired all the time. I have tried propping it up with cardboard but that never lasts for more than a night and was never such a good solution to begin with. My back and neck are getting sore too and as for spending the night with my girlfriend in my place? Forget about it.

- just raise up the lowest part of the bed. or you could attempt to make the floor level with like a big board and books and shims- good luck
- Cut the legs of the bed on the high side of the bed if it has legs if not make holes in the floor where the bed is high.
- If I answer this question with the answer it should receive. Well. Good luck.
- You do NOT want to go cutting the legs on your bed or putting holes in your floors. The answer is to make individual leg pedestals out of a 4x4 or 6x6 post. Starting with the highest corner of the bed, use a line level and a ruler to measure the difference in height at each of the four corners of your bed. Add 4 inches to each measurement to get the final height for each pedestal. Use a hole saw attachment on a drill to make a hole in the top of each pedestal large enough for the bed post to sit in. Make sure you drill each hole to the same depth. You could stain/paint the pedestals to make them match the bed or other furniture in the room and even put a felt pad on the bottom of each to prevent scratches to your floors. If your bed frame has a center support, you'll need to make a pedestal for that too.
