Where Can I find Quality Furniture at a Discounted Price in Los Angeles? I'm looking to furnish a one bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, Ca, and I'm finding that most stores seem to either have great furniture for exorbitant prices or great prices for crappy furniture. So I'm looking to find the best of both worlds: nice furniture for a decent price. Are there any local Los Angeles furniture stores that have what I'm looking for, or any big name furniture retail chain stores that have a sale going on?
How much a discount I should get if any? I went to Value city furniture to purchase a bedroom set for$3147. It was that much because I added an armoire for $899.99. At that time they had enough armoires in stock for me to get. Over two weeks later I get a call from them saying the warehouse no longer had any more armoires and they were discontinued, and I could get the one on the floor. I have no idea how long it has been on the floor or if its in good condition. (I will see tomorrow).
Where can I buy discount/cheap cat furniture? My cat is a rescue cat and I found her on the streets. I brought her to my parents house (because they have many rescue cats) but she did not get along with the others. I feel in love with her so I am keeping her at my cat friendly apartment. My apartment is small (I am moving to a large house in 1 year, so she will have lots more room soon), a small kitchen, 2 small bedrooms, that are connected by a small bathroom and basically no living or dining area (unless you consider a entry way witch only fits 1 chair, a living room). I am thinking of just buying a few cat towers and/or other cat furniture and put them in the 2 bedrooms and bathroom (they will fit fine. There more medium then small, I guess). So where is a good place to buy cheap cat furniture? My cat is about 2 and semi playful but loves to climb.

They want me to cancel the first contract and start over. I want them to honor the contract in place. What is their obligation? What is mine? Is this what is referred to as "Bait and Switch"?

Do you think Boston Interiors will negotiate furniture prices? I'm planning on spending approx $4K.? Hi everyone - I'm hoping to buy a living room set and bedroom set from Boston Interiors. Right now, the estimate for ALL the furniture ($150 delivery fee included) is about $4,300. Do you think Boston Interiors will negotiate furniture prices? If so, what would be a reasonable discount to ask? I'd like to, at a minimum, get the delivery fee waived.

Any holiday sales at WEST ELM worth waiting for (to buy furniture)? I want to buy the chocolate cube cut-out bedroom set from West Elm... All of the items are no longer at the store (but still full price!), so I would have to buy online & have the items shipped. Purchasing Furniture (YIKES)? I have spent most of the day shopping for furniture prices online. During my search I learned that retailers mark up the price of furniture anywhere from 40%-100% that they receive from the manufacturer/supplier. The bedroom suite I'm looking at is $11,000 (this is for 10 pieces) There has to be a way to cut out the middle man and pay thousands of dollars less. I live in Greenville, SC which puts me right in the middle of Atlanta and Charlotte (a hour or so drive each way). Travel time from my house to Hickory or High Point, NC and other furniture towns in NC is about 2-3 hours away. How do retailer get the deep discounts? Can you negotiate with furniture stores? Could faxing a request for quote to dealers result in better prices? Could you make a offer for furniture and see if the retailer will bite? What stops the average joe from calling up the same supplier and buying. There has to be a way to get furniture at cost. Any ideas welcomes. Thanks.

I feel like my parents don't even love me.? Every time they get home I try to give my mom a hug but she always pushes me away. Ok so, I wore my sister's UNDERSHIRT, so no one would see my bra at a thanksgiving party, and when she saw it, she said, "STOP WEARING MY CLOTHES, STOP WEARING MY CLOTHES, STOP WEARING MY CLOTHES STOP WEARING MY CLOTHES STOP WEARING MY CLOTHES!" Really loud for all to hear, and I really can't describe it, but everyone looked at me like I had committed some horrible crime punishable by death. Then my mom called me into her room after that and said, "STOP wearing her clothes! This ends NOW! YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE WHATEVER YOU WANT, HUH? 'Cuz Olivia gets whatever she wants!" That hurt my feelings really bad, so I ran in here and right now I'm venting. The other day she told me she would take me to the asian market. I eat lits of noodles and they're really cheap there. THE LAST MINUTE, she told me I was a pig and that I had to clean my room. I hate my life, and I don't care about school anymore, because my sister gets whatever she wants, no lie, and she's half a year older than me. She Has an EnV phone, and I have the 2000 version of an already crappy phone with an antenae. She has the master bedroom and a king bed. I have a 12 year old twin hand-me-down bed with pee stains. She has all matching furniture. I have mismatched and ugly old scraped discount furniture. I hate her. She's very mean to me. She calles me a b* when I don't let the dogs in. She cries when I don't do something for her. I don't care about my grades ANYMORE! I've just givin up. I want to die.

16. In measuring and sketching a client's room, which of these should you always be sure to include? 1. Your client wants his dining room to be a cozy, dark nighttime room where he can entertain just one or two people for casual, intimate dinners. The room won't be used during the day. The unfurnished room has a low seven-foot ceiling, two small windows facing north, one doorway, and is 10 feet (2.9 meters) by 12 feet (3.6 meters) with no other distinguishing features. To create the mood your client wants, you'll need to A. counteract the conflicting moods in the unfurnished room. B. emphasize existing qualities of the room since they suit the decorating requirements. C. put up a false wall to shorten the room. D. have the ceiling raised if the budget allows. 2. Which of these would be your best course of action? A. Try to convince him that both pieces should be disposed of, since it will be easier to decorate without them. B. Plan to re-cover the chair. Ask if the client will consider repainting the cabinet or putting it in another room. C. Dispose of the chair and repaint the cabinet. D. Try to place both pieces in other rooms. 3. Let him know that you could give him a special discount on some Oriental furniture you have left over from another job. C. Decide whether you think the style is right for him and tell him which style you prefer. D. Check his color and fabric preferences to see if they allow you to use French Provincial. 5. Because of your client's job, he must live in a city apartment. He is increasingly tired of city life, however, and daydreams about living on a peaceful tropical island. He does no business entertaining at his apartment but occasionally brings other visitors there. Which one of these decorating plans will probably be best for him? A. Sophisticated city look which reflects his business life B. Barefoot and serene tropical decor to reflect the lifestyle he wishes he had C. Plain, nonstylized environment, neither city nor tropical, so that he won't be reminded of his conflicts D. Refined traditional look with one or two large tropical accessories 6. Your clients are Mr. and Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones has told you that she would like to see her living room done with lots of blues and greens against white walls. The only color she doesn't care for is pink. Mr. Jones likes tan, gray, and blue. He dislikes all shades of green and any color in strong bold tones. Which of these would be the best color scheme for you to suggest for meeting your clients' needs? A. Blue and green and white B. Pale blue and very pale lime green and white C. Pale blue, pale green, and tan D. Pale blue, tan, and white 7. You're meeting with your new clients, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey regarding decorating their living room. Develop a clean, uncluttered modern decor to please Mr. Godfrey. B. Develop a Victorian style room for Mrs. Godfrey. C.
