Toddler beds? My 14 month old son is about a month away from getting out of his crib. The sad thing is at 13 month he just started sleeping through the night. Now we have to face fighting him into a toddler bed, I'm afraid. Are there any toddler beds that keep kids inside them? How did you do with keeping your toddler in his new bed? This is going to be a huge fight with him and I'm so afraid especially since we've been through SO MUCH trying to get him to sleep through the night. Any help? My son just turned 14mo old. He wouldn't understand picking out a new bed or sheets...he is still a baby! He's not 2 or 3 years old yet. I would never kick him out of his own crib because another baby was coming, there is no other baby. I'm just afraid he's VERY VERY close to climbing out and I don't want him to get hurt. That's all.He is in the 90th % for height and if he really wanted to, he could get out, I expect it any day now.

toddler beds? yes i have a jardine "lifetime" crib and i want to convert to a toddler bed but i cannot find a conversion kit, well i have the siderails but no hardware or instructions does anyone know where to find that kinda stuff if not can you recommend any good toddler beds?? i want to thank you for the first answer duh!!! We've selected a crib on our registry which is a converter crib (converts to a toddler bed). It is also adjustable. He was a premie and seems a little slower with his learning and I know that he will be up and down all night and that he will get into things quietly that we may not hear right away. How old were toddlers when you started using a toddler bed? My son's crib broke and he is nine months old. I was wondering if I should buy him a new crib, or get him a toddler bed. Personally, I think he is too young(he just started to crawl). What do you folks think I should do.

How did you transition your child into a toddler bed? My daughter is almost 21 months old. We are expecting my son in about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, my daughter got sick about a month ago, and was vomiting in her crib, and my husband and I felt more comfortable with her in bed with us. Well, that was the biggest mistake we made cause she is still in bed with us now. I'm hoping I can get her to transition from our bed into a toddler bed within the next two weeks...I know I can't force it to happen. I'm just wondering what worked for other parents and what didn't work. What do you suggest?

How long do babies sleep in their cribs? What age do they move to a toddler bed? I am shopping for crib bedding sets and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on one if they won't be in the crib for that long. I have a bassinet already and she will be sleeping upstairs in that for a few months till I let her sleep in the crib. So when do I let her sleep in a toddler bed?
