Is leather furniture sticky to sit on in the summer and cold in the winter? I am looking at replacing my living room furniture this year and I need some suggestions? First, we have 2 cats (and yes they sometimes scratch the ends of the sofa and loveseat that we have now-in fact it looks horrible) 2. The upholstery fabic we have now has piles all over it? I don't want to go down that road again when we choose new living room furniture. The room it will go in will be sat on constantly (no formal living room in my house) and occasionally napped on. Commerical furniture delivery - How do you send coffee tables by freight? I am in the process of setting up a small furniture making business and I need to know how do you go about sending coffee tables etc that are not flat- packed. I would imagine that you would bubble-wrap the items and then get a freight company like Fedex to pick them up. Is it that easy? Should I consider putting these type of items in crates. The coffee tables I have made would be sent out lndividually to customers. They are not overly expensive and really not that large. When we moved the furniture into our new home, we found that the movers had used 2" clear packing tape to keep drawers from sliding out in transport. I would like to paint an accent wall and I would prefer not to put any light furniture in, since I have kids, and you know how that is.. Please give me your ideas!!

What kind of furniture is good for a magenta coloured (purplish pink) room? I am moving in to a new house very soon with my mum. I am 16 and want to know what colours of furniture would fit my bedroom. Any advice would be much appreciated... thanks!!!

How can I clean my leather furniture? I have 2 kids and they have almost ruined my leather furniture! I have tried the cleaner from the furniture store but it didn't help. Is there something else I can try or do I need to have it professionally cleaned? Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to have a leather sofa and loveseat professionally cleaned? I've only had it for 2 years and it was expensive so I don't want to replace it. It's not the shiny kind of leather, it is the softer kind.

How do you keep a puppy from biting furniture? I have a four month old German Shepherd and I know he is teething. But he bites his bed and clothes. I replace the furniture with toys but he just goes right back to the furniture and clothes. I even hold his mouth and say no but he still keeps on going. How do I make him stop? Should I give him a timeout? Is he bored?

How do I restore painted wood furniture? My bedroom furniture is wood, painted black, and the dresser and nightstand have a light cherry stain on the tops. The pieces are fifteen years old, but high quality and in great shape. Everything just needs a little cosmetic work. Do I need to actually refinish the pieces? If not, what can I use to clean the painted surfaces and the stained wood? I'd like to get the furniture to look as new as possible! I have never done anything other than wipe them down with a cloth, and I am definitely a novice at any refinishing (or anything DIY in general). Any answers are much appreciated!
